Biography

Matthew Dickson is a seasoned trial attorney with extensive experience in all facets of civil litigation and appeals on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.  Over the course of his career he has been privileged to serve as trial counsel for a wide variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, large real estate developers, industrial manufacturers, public school districts, and one of the largest public utilities in the country.  His practice areas include toxic exposures, environmental litigation, mass torts, professional liability, catastrophic injuries, and insurance bad faith.    

Prior to joining Everett Dorey, Matthew was a partner at a national defense firm before starting his own firm.  He also currently serves on the Board of Directors and as General Counsel for a prominent private school with campuses in Los Angeles and Orange County.  

While in law school, Matthew was a lead article editor for the Whittier Law Review, a member of the moot court honors board, and two-time recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award.  Additionally, he was a judicial extern for the Hon. Andrew J. Guilford for the United States District Court, Central District of California.  Before law school, Matthew obtained a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Arizona, which provided him with extensive training in epidemiology, toxicology and environmental health.  He completed his thesis project through an internship with the Orange County Health Care Agency, Epidemiology Division, in 2003.
